UA's new business, fashion and sports store "Unroute," opens in Ginza in September

Jul 29, 2014

United Arrows will open the first store of its new business, "EN ROUTE," a fashion and sports-focused retailer, on September 12th in Ginza 3-chome (1F, 3-10-6 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo). Based on the concept of "Wearable Tokyo," the brand is built around simple, modern city casual wear and contemporary city running wear. Aimed at creative urbanites who share fashion and sports, the store offers "mixed styling"—matching tailored coats with sweatpants, modern items with sneakers, heels with socks, and more. The store's interior is modeled after a designer's studio and includes a running station. Running events and other events are planned. Along with a contemporary original collection, the store will also feature a curated selection of items, primarily from modern clothing brands, decorative art, and books. The price range for men's items is ¥60,000 for outerwear, ¥50,000 for jackets, ¥13,000 for shirts, and ¥18,000 for pants. For women, the price range is ¥50,000 for outerwear, ¥38,000 for jackets, ¥14,000 for shirts, and ¥18,000 for pants. The creative director is Masachika Numata, former director of UNITED ARROWS green label relaxing. Overall design of the brand name, logo, and other products is handled by Tamotsu Yagi, who also handles ASTRAET. The interior design is handled by Schemata Architecture, a team led by Jo Nagasaka. Communication design for advertising, web, and more is handled by PARTY. United Arrows aims to become a globally recognized corporate brand that will last for over 100 years, and has established a long-term vision, "UA VISION 2022," ending in March 2022. Unroute is a new business aimed at realizing one of its strategies: "Proposing new value through the development and nurturing of new businesses that will drive growth for the next generation."
