UGG Omotesando Hills store renovated, doubles floor space, and starts custom orders

Mar 7, 2015

UGG Australia will relocate and reopen on the same floor of Omotesando Hills on March 6th, following the mall's major renovation. With this renovation, the Omotesando Hills store will double its previous floor space. In addition to classic footwear, the brand will offer a wide selection of bags and accessories. To commemorate the opening, the brand will offer a limited-edition of 100 pairs of the popular Meena II moccasin in a coral reef colorway (priced at ¥18,000). The shoes come with two types of insoles, one natural wool and one leather, allowing for different comfort levels. Furthermore, the store will offer a custom-made program called "UGG BY YOU." This program allows customers to freely customize the color of the upper, binding, heel counter, outsole, and other elements of the brand's boots and slippers. Furthermore, by combining ribbons and Swarovski crystal charms, a total of over 11,000 different patterns can be selected.

Regarding the renewal, Dave Powers, president of the omni-channel division at Deckers Brands, which operates UGG Australia, said, "We believe the expansion of the Omotesando Hills store is a reflection of strong demand from our Japanese customers. By doubling the space, we have been able to develop our customization program, which has been a success as an online service in the United States, and strengthen our attractive product lineup."
