UGG AUSTRALIA (UGG) unveiled its 2014 Spring/Summer collection at UGG Australia SHIBUYA in Shibuya, Tokyo on February 28th. The theme was "The Color of Expression." The women's collection featured a wide variety of items in beautiful, kaleidoscope-like colors inspired by pop art. Led by the suede slip-on shoes "MEENA" and "MANDIE," the collection featured pop designs featuring contrasting colors on the sheepskin insoles and upper details. Each color, inspired by Andy Warhol's "Campbell's Soup Cans," had a name like "Tomato Soup" or "Lip Gloss." The refreshing, spring-like striped Marine series included shoes such as wedge sandals and slip-ons, as well as shoulder and tote bags. The "CHIVON" espadrilles, featured in the main visual, are available in six colors. Each slip-on features sheepskin on the insoles and inner heel, emphasizing the signature UGG style.
The men's collection, on the other hand, features a chic color palette. Lightweight materials like denim and canvas are used, with brown, navy, and black tones. The colored soles, popular since last season, are featured in vivid colors like pink and red, adding a touch of style. Like the women's collection, many of the shoes feature sheepskin on the inner heel.
Both men's and women's collections also feature a wide selection of trendy sneakers. The women's collection includes mesh uppers with denim woven into them and lace-trimmed styles.
The unveiling event featured food and drinks inspired by the season's theme, a DJ performance by AMIGA, and live painting by artist Takeshi Sato, entertaining attendees. The "BLING IT ON" service, which is held irregularly at events, also took place, allowing customers to customize their own UGGs with Swarovski crystals.
