"Taisho Kimono" (2,800 yen), a book showcasing a collection of modern kimonos in the Art Deco style, was released on March 24th.

The meisen kimono featured in the book is a type of silk fabric that was popular among Japanese people from the latter half of the Edo period to the early Showa period. Initially, most were plain and practical, but after the Taisho period, they became extremely popular among young women and began to feature a variety of patterns.

The book presents this collection of meisen kimono in full color across 272 pages, with illustrations and explanations. The book features a variety of unique pieces with a crisp, retro feel, such as "seasonal flower patterns on paving," "coin patterns," and "lily of the valley patterns."
