Over 50 variations of the new Tod's Cape Bag for Spring/Summer 2015 [Today's item]

Mar 3, 2015

For TOD'S, Alessandra Facchinetti is bringing a new perspective to the brand's Made-in-Italy craftsmanship for her third season. The new TOD'S Cape Bag reflects the image of horse tack featured in the brand's ready-to-wear collection. The bag's motif is a riding saddle. This contemporary interpretation of the saddle results in a distinctive, curvaceous, plump shape. A magnet closure allows the bag to be closed simply by folding it, creating a design that is characteristic of the new TOD'S, combining originality with functionality. The bag is available in three sizes: MEDIA (large) (38cm W x 29cm H x 18cm D), PICCOLA (medium) (33cm W x 24.5cm H x 16cm D), and MINI (small) (27cm W x 21cm H x 13cm D). Each bag is available in a different color palette. The Tod's Cape Bag (229,000 yen) pictured is a MEDIA size bag in a two-tone charcoal brown and blue color scheme. Other colors available include blue and brown, gray and white, black, yellow, and green.

In addition to these, there are variations such as python, floral paint, and perforated calf leather, resulting in a total of over 50 different items. Some of the bags have particularly unique designs, such as leather cut into curves inspired by Italian gardens and layered like patchwork.
