Tod's will launch the "Gommino Club" project in late March. The brand will offer a customization service (74,000 yen) for the new "Club Gommino" model, featuring braided leather laces and the iconic Scooby-Doo character.
Tod's "Gommino" moccasins combine classic Italian style with modern comfort. The sole, comprised of 133 rubber pebbles, creates a unique look. The design, inspired by 1950s driving shoes, is suitable for all occasions, from formal to casual.
It takes more than 100 steps to create a pair of moccasins, and depending on the model, up to 35 pieces of leather are used. Each piece is processed, sorted, and sewn together by hand. Since the brand's founding in 1979, numerous iterations have been created, each offering distinctive features through a variety of materials, colors, and decorations. The latest "Club Gommino" collection features Scooby-Doo and distinctive metallic accessories for a sophisticated look. This service offers a "Club Gommino" customization kit in stores, featuring 15 different leather swatches. Scooby-Doo can be custom-made in any three-tone color combination from 20 available colors. Additionally, a hot stamp sample for engraving initials is also available, allowing for over 100,000 possible combinations. After completing an order, customers will receive a membership card with a personalized order number, recording their hot stamp and Scooby-Doo preferences. This service will launch in late March at select Tod's boutiques worldwide. In Japan, the service will begin at the Tod's Omotesando store in April, with plans to gradually expand to men's stores. After ordering, the item will be crafted in Italy and delivered to customers approximately two and a half months after ordering.
