Dior Homme releases campaign film for its 2015-2016 winter collection

Sep 4, 2015

Dior Homme released its campaign film for its Winter 2015-2016 collection, "PARIS XVIE," on August 31st. The film stars Boyd Holbrook, known for his roles in Gus Van Sant's film "Milk" and the 2014 Academy Award-winning film "Gone Girl." The film, produced in collaboration with creative director Kris Van Assche and photographer Willy Vanderperre, is a short story depicting Boyd Holbrook's portrayal of an American man spending a day in Paris. The story follows Boyd Holbrook as he visits various locations in Paris, picking up flowers and placing them in his breast pocket as a memento of each place. The final scene, in which he returns to his room and dances alone, seems to pay homage to the hit film starring Gene Kelly.

Regarding the film, Willy Vanderperre commented on the behind-the-scenes of the production, saying, "We started this collaboration with a focus on film, and we were able to create stills that had a cinematic feel. We were looking for ideas to make it more cinematic and were looking for someone who could do that, and Chris suggested Boyd."

In addition, this season's collection proposes a style inspired by men who are as strong and confident in their roles as the actors in the film, but who are also romantic, humble and playful.
