The "Tokyo Colors." event, which began on December 1st at Tokyo Station's GranRoof, will feature a special illumination display commemorating the station's 100th anniversary on December 20th, for two days only, on the 19th and 20th.
During these two days, from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, colorful light art will be projected onto the GranRoof's large roof approximately every 15 minutes. The display will be synchronized with background music and approximately 3,000 LED color bars installed on the deck. Additionally, the "1225 FLOWERS FOR XMAS" Christmas tree will be on display in Gin no Suzu Square until the 25th. The approximately 3-meter-tall tree is decorated with 1,225 begonias, creating a romantic atmosphere inspired by the flower's meaning of "confession of love."
In addition, "TOKYO BOX," which sells items commemorating the station's 100th anniversary, will extend its run until January 12th. Commemorative items will continue to be released, including PORTER's limited-edition bag (100 pieces, complete with a commemorative tag) (¥42,120), "Tokyo Station 100th Anniversary Completely Original Model with Commemorative Tag," and Lee's popular mascot, Buddy Lee, dressed in a JR East Stationmaster/Staff Uniform Model (¥70,200). These are exclusive to Tokyo Station. Additionally, limited-edition shops will open at Ecute Tokyo, the station-based shopping mall inside Tokyo Station, in preparation for the New Year. Shops include PRISTINE, a lifestyle brand specializing in organic cotton; Good Fortune Factory, featuring unique ingredients like world champion fresh salami; and Kikusui Sake Brewery, a sake brewery in the northern Echigo region. Other shops within the mall are offering items perfect for year-end and New Year gifts, such as Hanabiramochi (flower petal rice cakes) (¥378) by Nara Tenpyoan. Shops like Warakubeni-ya and Biscotti Tokyo Design will also be offering lucky bags in the new year.
In addition, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its opening, Tokyo Station Hotel will be selling "Amaou French Toast" for a limited time from January 20th to 30th. Thick-sliced brioche is soaked in seasoning for a day, and then the surface is baked to a fragrant finish, allowing you to enjoy both a crispy and fluffy texture and juicy strawberries at the same time.
