Leica Gallery Kyoto will host "KYOTO KOTOKOTO TOKOTOKO," a photography exhibition by Kundo Koyama and Alex Mouton, from January 10 to March 29, 2015. Kundo Koyama is a television writer known for his work on TV shows like "Ryori no Tatsujin" (The Master of Cooking) and is also famous for creating the popular mascot character "Kumamon." He currently serves as the owner of the traditional Japanese restaurant "Shimogamo Saryo" and director of the Kyotokan antenna shop. Alex Mouton, meanwhile, is a photography-loving traveler who recently garnered attention for photographing Kumamon during his visit to Paris. In accordance with the "Walking City Kyoto" charter advocated by Kyoto City, this exhibition showcases the fascinating scenery the two discovered while strolling around the city. The works, which capture the atmosphere of Kyoto's ancient capital, were shot using antique lenses manufactured in the years each artist was born.
