Hiroshi Fujiwara launches new media outlet "Ring of Colour." The youngest writer is a "sixth-grade film critic"

Dec 4, 2015

"Ring of Colour" (http://ringofcolour.com/), a new digital media platform primarily produced by Hiroshi Fujiwara, was launched on November 18th. The platform was conceived after Hiroshi Fujiwara reconsidered the existence of social media, noting that "compared to the past, interesting content has a shorter shelf life." He launched the platform with creative director Yoshikage Kajiwara, aiming to create a one-way platform that disseminates only niche information without being conscious of the opinions of social media users. "Ring of Colour" features 16 categories, each with expert and insightful writers who share information. In addition to Hiroshi Fujiwara himself and Yoshikage Kajiwara, the platform's youngest writer is Rio Harada, a sixth-grade film critic who has seen over 600 films. The site's selection is also carefully considered. The media will start with six writers at the launch stage, with plans to increase this to 16 in the future.

Furthermore, unlike existing media that approach new information, the media will also provide information from the past, including archive fashion items. Fujiwara Hiroshi commented on the media, "As digital media evolves, I think Ring of Colour is an analogue media that exists in a different direction. It may be a little off-topic, but I think a place like this is also necessary, and I think people will enjoy it."
