Cath Kidston releases iPhone Christmas cracker for two

Dec 5, 2015

Cath Kidston will be launching a Christmas-themed gift campaign, "A Pair of Crackers," starting December 5th. Christmas crackers are a traditional Christmas game from the brand's birthplace, England. When two people pull on both ends of a cracker, the gunpowder inside explodes, making a loud popping sound and releasing a gift. It's an essential part of British Christmas parties. This campaign was designed to make the Christmas cracker game accessible to people in Japan. By accessing a special website from your iPhone and pairing it with the iPhone of a friend, partner, or family member, a cracker will appear on each iPhone's screen. By lining up the two devices and pulling them in time with the countdown, the cracker will pop, accompanied by various sounds, and a total of 5,110 people will be entered into a lottery to win a gift. The campaign runs until 11:59 PM on December 25th.

Also, at Cath Kidston stores nationwide, customers who spend over 5,400 yen (tax included) during the Christmas period will receive a Christmas gift box, and customers who spend over 10,000 yen (tax included) will receive a Christmas print tote bag (both in limited quantities).
