December is almost here. The city is in full Christmas mode. With so many invitations coming your way, we asked a food buyer at Isetan Shinjuku about some Christmas sweets worth checking out as party favors or small gifts.
Enfant's icing cookies (12 pieces for 1,600 yen / delivery only), featuring Christmas trees, snowmen, and Santa Claus, are exclusive to Isetan Mitsukoshi. Enjoy 12 different designs, and each one is individually wrapped, a bonus.
Fabrice Gillott's chocolates featuring a bear dressed as Santa Claus (5 pieces for 3,000 yen) are a product of Fabrice Gillott. Made with praline and caramel encased in chocolate, the rich sweetness spreads throughout your mouth.
Noix de Beurre, popular for its crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside financiers baked in-store, is offering a baked goods set (1,800 yen) filled with financiers, madeleines, and cookies in a sock-shaped package. The stocking in the packaging can also be used as a Christmas decoration.
The Christmas version of Bel Amer's ever-popular Palet Chocolat (1,600 yen for a box of 5) is back this year with a limited edition design. It features a Christmas tree and ginger manju in an original package.
These items make perfect small gifts as well as party favors, and can be ordered not only in-store but also from the online store (until 10:00 AM on December 9th), so why not take your time to carefully consider your Christmas sweets at home?
*Products that are only available for delivery are not available in-store at Isetan Shinjuku, but can be ordered from the Isetan Online Store (until 10:00 AM on December 9th)
