Photographer Akiko Tsunoda's photo exhibition "Visiting Santa Claus in Norway" will be held from December 15th to 25th at GALLERY MUVEIL, the flagship store of MUVEIL in Aoyama, Tokyo. Akiko Tsunoda is a photographer who works on advertisements, magazines, CD covers, and more, focusing on the theme of "calm, gentle moments and the light of hope." She continues to photograph Santa Claus as a private project. The exhibition features a number of works captured during a trip she took to Norway last year to visit her friend, Santa Claus. Known as Julenissen (fairies) in Norwegian, Santa Claus is a small figure who is said to live in a farmer's barn and is beloved by the people as the guardian deity of homes and land. This exhibition showcases the Christmas traditions she learned from Julenissen and the beautiful Norwegian scenery she encountered during her travels. Photo books and merchandise will also be available for purchase in conjunction with the exhibition.
Also, from December 11th to 25th, "Santa in OSAKA" will be held at the cross-cultural experience space SAA in Osaka. Various photos of Santa Claus will be on display, including those taken at the "Global Santa Claus Conference" held in Copenhagen in midsummer.
