■ "YOKO ONO: FROM MY WINDOW"
This book is the official catalog for the exhibition "Yoko Ono: From My Window," currently being held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo. It focuses on works that were presented in Japan in the 1960s, spanning her long and diverse 60-year career. Her works, presented in a variety of styles—including "Cut Piece," in which audience members come up on stage at the word "CUT" and cut off pieces of her clothing to take home; "Pictures I Assemble in My Mind," in which she imaginatively draws from texts written inside picture frames; and "From My Window," a series that superimposes photographs of her home window with photographs from her childhood up until her meeting and separation with John—are conceptual art, and each piece is created through the viewer's imagination, thought, and emotion. The opening of the book also includes a precious message about her feelings for Japan, written specifically for this exhibition.
