It was announced on December 22nd at the Tokyo American Club that model and TV personality Rinka has been appointed the Hawaii Tourism Authority's Style Goodwill Ambassador. The role of a Style Goodwill Ambassador is to promote the charms of Hawaii as an influencer in all aspects of lifestyle, including fashion. The Hawaii Tourism Authority, which selected the ambassador, assigns ambassadors for each category. In 2013, model Angelica Michibata was appointed Beauty Goodwill Ambassador, and model Hinano Yoshikawa was appointed Romance Goodwill Ambassador. In March 2014, Jibanyan, a character from the Yo-kai Watch series, was appointed Kids Goodwill Ambassador. Eric Takahata, Director of the Hawaii Tourism Authority, commented, "Rinka's lifestyle is an aspiration for many, and we hope that the Hawaii she introduces will inspire and inspire others to travel to Hawaii." Also at the press conference, Rinka, who moved to Hawaii six months ago, shared photos from her Instagram account, revealing how much she enjoys her private life: "I've been taking yoga classes in the morning at Kapiolani Park, buying bento boxes and having lunch with friends after my kids' school is over, and having fun." Finally, she promoted the charms of Hawaii as a style ambassador. "Hawaii is a place everyone loves; every time you visit, you can reset and recharge. After living here for six months, I've come to realise how amazing Hawaii is. Even when I sometimes hit a wall in my life, the people there are so warm and supportive. I'm grateful for such an environment."
