A one-day "Artistic Bonsai" event will be held at Arts Chiyoda 3331 by bonsai artist Masashi Hirao, who has also exhibited at the Setouchi Triennale.

Jun 13, 2016

Bonsai artist Masashi Hirao's "Artistic Bonsai" event, "Deeply Love BONSAI: Overcoming the Gap of Artistic Bonsai, Love, and Share," will be held from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on June 23rd at Arts Chiyoda 3331 in Chiyoda, Tokyo. Hirao has been garnering significant attention both at home and abroad, having been appointed a cultural ambassador by the Agency for Cultural Affairs and receiving acclaim at the Setouchi Triennale. The event will feature a variety of "Artistic & Healing Bonsai" exhibits, including works from the Setouchi Triennale 2016. Additionally, Hirao will hold a bonsai demonstration, sharing his work and activities around the world. At the end of the event, he will also create a piece he prepared specifically for the event. This is a rare opportunity to learn about the gap between the coolness and complexity of bonsai and to appreciate its beauty more deeply and powerfully. Tickets can be applied for on the official event page (http://peatix.com/event/170977).
