Celebrating Atelier Someka's 35th anniversary! An exhibition featuring approximately 100 floral decorations, including new works that explore new creative methods.

May 26, 2016

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Atelier Someka's founding, the exhibition "Repetition" will be held from July 1st to 10th (extended due to popular demand) at Spiral Garden on the first floor of Spiral in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.

Echoing the Belle Époque era, when women actively incorporated flowers into their attire and enjoyed it, Atelier Someka offers unique floral decorations crafted with a uniquely Japanese sense of color. Drawing inspiration from the beautiful things they see in everyday life, Atelier Someka has created a wide variety of floral decorations.

This exhibition will feature approximately 100 floral decorations, from past works to new works that explore new forms of expression, embodying the techniques and sensibilities they have developed over the past 35 years. The title "Repetition" means "repetition." Rather than simply going back and forth in the same direction, it signifies a commitment to deepening and perfecting the creative passion they have held since their founding, without wavering.
