The VIKTOR&ROLF 2016 Spring/Summer Haute Couture collection, "PERFORMANCE OF SCULPTURES," is on display and for sale in the event space on the first floor of Dover Street Market Ginza until July 7th.
The 2016 Spring/Summer Haute Couture collection, held in Paris in February of this year, made an impact with artistic pieces that combined cubist sculptural silhouettes inspired by Pablo Picasso and others with white polo shirts, as the designer said, "It's said that clothes are the same as sculpture, but this time I really created sculpture."
This time, six haute couture pieces that appeared in the show are on display in the event space, and private orders are also being accepted. Also available is a capsule collection made from the same material as the collection: a white technical pique polo dress (342,000 yen), a tunic (305,000 yen), and a polo shirt (98,000 yen), each available in two colors: white and black. All items feature an illustrated tag with an elephant, inspired by the elephant sculpture that stands in the event space, and a brand tag with a serial number handwritten by the designer. These items can only be purchased at the physical store, Dover Street Market Ginza.
