
Mika Ninagawa's photo exhibition "noir" will be held at Shibuya Hikarie's "8/ ART GALLERY." The exhibition will run from February 4th to 23rd. Mika Ninagawa is a photographer who has won numerous photography awards, including the Kimura Ihei Photography Award and the Ohara Museum of Art Award. She also served as a judge on the New Year's Eve Red and White Song Battle in 2014. She made her directorial debut with the film "Sakuran" in 2007 and launched the fashion brand "M / mika ninagawa" last year. She is currently active in a variety of fields. Her vivid colors, known as "Ninagawa color," have earned her high praise. In recent years, her works, which depict death and darkness through the use of rich blacks, have also garnered popularity. This exhibition is one of four solo exhibitions by Mika Ninagawa to be held at four locations in Tokyo in the spring of 2015. Various works from the "noir" series, which captures life and death as two sides of the same coin, will be on display. Other exhibitions include "Mika Ninagawa: Self-image" at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, and "Portraits & Flowers" at the Ikejiri galleries "CAPSULE" and "SUNDAY," allowing visitors to see the diverse aspects of Ninagawa's work in all its glory.
