UNDERCOVER to hold exhibition at Tokyo Opera City in October
Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery has announced its exhibition lineup for 2015 (April 2015 to March 2016), and it has been decided that an exhibition of UNDERCOVER, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of the brand's founding this year, will be held from October 10th to December 23rd.

■When a new fashion begins. ITC/EFI and UA's efforts 2/2 [Ethical Special Feature]
On December 11th, 2014, a panel discussion on "ethical" was held at Shin-Maru Building. Panelists included Arancha Gonzalez of the United Nations International Trade Centre (ITC); Simone Cipriani, manager of the ITC's Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI); Stella Jean, a designer active at the Milan Fashion Week; and Hirofumi Kurino, senior advisor to United Arrows and creator of the company's new label, TEGE. This report covers the lively discussion, which focused on themes such as "Ethical fashion opening up new worlds" and "Can fashion make people happy?" (introduced in Part 1). BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE x MTDO release a collaborative bag for slim device storage. The sixth installment in the "BAO BAO PARK" series, which develops products in collaboration with creators, features the designer unit MTDO inc. The vertically elongated bag comes with a foldable inner pad, also made of triangular pieces, designed to neatly store a variety of devices.

A ZIN-style photo book by Ari Marcopoulos, a photographer who has been documenting street culture and board culture for many years. As a new release from Swiss publisher Nieves, which has a loyal following, the book is attracting attention in Japan as well.

■Shu Uemura releases 15 colors of liquid lipstick inspired by the red of lacquerware. Also featuring collaboration colors with Yamada Heiando
On February 1st, LAC SUPREME, a liquid lipstick inspired by the red of lacquerware, a traditional Japanese craft, will be released. Special colors will also be available, created in collaboration with Yamada Heiando, a long-established lacquerware store that is a purveyor to the Imperial Household Agency!

■Shu Uemura releases eyeshadow palette with 16 nude colors in 6 different textures
On the same day as the lipstick above, Shu Uemura will also be releasing its first eyeshadow palette, the "Shu Palette," which includes 16 nude colors that can be used to create a variety of gradations, from nude makeup to smoky eyes. Quantities are limited, so be sure to grab one early.

By the way, today, January 10th, is Orlando Bloom's birthday.
