■ "Solon" by Ari Marcopoulos

This zine-style photo book is by Ari Marcopoulos, a photographer who has long documented street and board culture. Based in New York, Ari captured the everyday life of his brother in his native Netherlands. The work is filled with an intimate atmosphere, showcasing the close relationship between two brothers living across the Atlantic. The binding is simple, with only a staple.

This is the latest release from Nieves, a Swiss publisher that regularly publishes photozines and little presses specializing in art and culture and has built a loyal following, and is attracting attention in Japan as well.

Ari is originally from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After working as an assistant to Andy Warhol, he became a photographer based in the United States. For 25 years he has been photographing artists, snowboarders, musicians, and skateboarders, and is also popular for his image photos for brands such as Supreme and Nike.
