Alexander Wang has announced the launch of his new denim line, "DENIM x ALEXANDER WANG." It will be available in Japan for a limited six-month period starting March 4th.

The debut collection features heavyweight denim updated with a modern fit. It comes in three styles: slim, relaxed, and body fit, each available in three washes.

The slim-fit, high-rise denim "WANG 001" (starting at ¥33,000) embodies Alexander Wang's desire to create a slim fit that isn't skinny. It incorporates 1% stretch material in indigo and 2% stretch material in black, resulting in a silhouette with a slightly loose hem and knees. The hem width is designed to gather at the heel when paired with pouty pants.

The Stay Black wash fades twice as long as regular black denim. Three other styles are also available: light indigo fade and medium indigo fade. The other two styles are inspired by men's denim and feature a vintage feel made from 100% cotton. The relaxed "WANG 002" (from ¥35,000) is a modern update to classic men's denim. It features a low waist and tapered silhouette. It's available in three washes: light indigo aged, medium indigo aged, and black. Meanwhile, the boy-fit "WANG 003" (from ¥39,000) has a dropped front side and a straight hipline for a masculine look. The hem is tapered and has a narrow cuff. Wear it low-slung with your hands tucked into your pockets for a stylish look. Regarding the launch of his new denim line, Alexander Wang said, "I saw many of my girlfriends wearing vintage non-stretch denim with the fit altered, and I wanted to stay true to that style while updating it with a more feminine fit."

In Japan, "DENIM x ALEXANDER WANG" will only be available at the limited-time shop at Isetan Shinjuku and the Aoyama store. Prior to that, items were sold in advance at the New York flagship store in December. The collection has already been released on the official US online site, and sales began on the official global online site in January.
