Enjoy winter dining with tableware. "Snow Tableware" exhibition by Akira Minagawa of Mina Perhonen. Also has a Japanese cafe.

Dec 10, 2014

The "Snow Vessels" exhibition opened at the Nishi-Azabu gallery "Le Bain" on December 9th. This year marks the fourth annual collaborative exhibition between Akira Minagawa and Masanobu Ando, showcasing pots and other tableware under the theme of "snow vessels." Akira Minagawa is the designer of the fashion brand "mina perhonen" and also works on interior design, including furniture and tableware. Masanobu Ando, on the other hand, is an artist who creates everyday tableware, teacups, and sculptural pieces. For this exhibition, Minagawa personally visited Ando's studio to paint snow-themed patterns on heat-resistant fabric. Also on display are original candlesticks, glassware, and other items. You might find some inspiration for enjoying winter at the dinner table. During the exhibition, the adjacent teahouse, "souen," will offer tea and sweets inspired by snowy landscapes and drinks inspired by blooming winter flower fields. Special minä perhonen drawstring bags and blended tea will also be on sale.
