The 2014 British Fashion Awards ceremony took place in London on December 1st, with Erdem winning the Womenswear Grand Prize and J.W. Anderson winning the Menswear Grand Prize for the first time. The ceremony was a glamorous affair, with many celebrities in attendance, including Samantha Cameron, wife of the British Prime Minister, Kate Moss, and Harry Styles of One Direction. John Galliano appeared to present the award to Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue, who received the Longevity Award, marking his return to the fashion world. Following the ceremony, a tribute was given to Louise Wilson, a renowned professor of fashion at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design who passed away in May of this year. Models appeared wearing works by her former students, Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou, and others. Additionally, Chris Moore, a leading figure in runway photography with a 60-year career, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award, with his long-time colleague Susie Menkis handing over the trophy.
