Hideyuki Nakayama and Toshikatsu Ienari hold architecture talk event at Umaki Camp in Shodoshima

Feb 16, 2014

On February 22nd, a talk event titled "A New Relationship between Islands and Buildings" will be held at UMAKI CAMP in Shodoshima Town, Kagawa Prefecture, featuring Toshikatsu Ienari of the design firm dot architects and young architect Hideyuki Nakayama.

The "UMAKI CAMP CAFE" is an event held at UMAKI CAMP, where people gather for casual conversation over food and drinks. This first event will feature Nakayama as guest, and together with host Ienari, they will discuss the possibilities of building on an island.

UMAKI CAMP was built and constructed by dot architects as one of the exhibits for the Setouchi Triennale 2013: "Hiyashi no Sato + Sakate Port Project." This year marks a new beginning for the facility as a public space that connects people and a base for developing education and welfare-related projects.
