Moncler 2014-2015 AW Collaborates with Cod.Act, the Japan Media Arts Award Winner [2014-2015 AW New York]

Feb 13, 2014

Moncler Grenoble's 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collection surprised audiences with a collaboration with the Swiss musical group "Pendulum Choir," winner of the Grand Prize in the Art Division at the 16th Japan Media Arts Festival held by the Agency for Cultural Affairs last year (2012). The brand's presentation, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on February 8, was not a runway presentation; instead, the models wearing the collection themselves served as the stage set for an opera. A choir of men wearing Moncler suits was attached to a device in the center of the stage, their movements controlled by computer, and the stage was propelled by digital sound and lighting. The performance was by the brother duo "Cod.Act," comprised of musician Andre DECOSTERD and architect Michel DECOSTERD, who also won the Grand Prize in the Art Division at the 14th Japan Media Arts Festival for their work "Cycloid-E."

By the way, last year's Grand Prize in the Entertainment category went to Perfume "Global Site Project", a global debut project for Perfume by Manabe Daito, Nakata Yasutaka and others.
