New Tod's to be released worldwide first at Shinjuku Isetan. Limited-time shop opens.

Feb 19, 2014

On February 19th, TOD'S opened its pop-up shop, "Italian Set," on The Stage on the first floor of the main building of the Isetan Shinjuku store. The first collection by new creative director Alessandra Facchinetti will be available for sale at the brand's Milan flagship store, as well as at the brand's Milan flagship store, for the first time in the world.

The shop recreates the residential atmosphere of the venue used for the 14 Spring/Summer collection, which was presented in Milan in September. Low chairs, wood-grain fixtures, and pendant lighting create a relaxing space that makes you feel as if you've been invited into a home. The mirrors are printed with a view from the Villa Necchi museum house in Milan. The first floor of the Milan flagship store has also been renovated to reflect this same atmosphere.

The store features the latest collection, including runway looks, bags, and shoes. The collection showcases the brand's craftsmanship with supple, lightweight leather tops (¥322,350), jackets (¥491,400), skirts (¥491,400), and laser-cut perforated shirt dresses (¥474,600) and flared skirts (¥322,350). The silk blouse (¥110,250) and cotton gabardine flared skirt (¥186,900) have already generated inquiries before their release. Facchinetti herself loves this skirt, which is styled with a large belt (¥85,050). The highlight of the collection is the limited edition "Couture Collection" bags (10 pieces, priced from ¥276,150 to ¥1,732,500), each one of which is a one-of-a-kind. These special items are decorated with sequin embroidery, fringe, and striped graffiti. Each iconic item has been updated. The "Gommino" shoes, featuring the brand's signature pebble sole, are now available in a style with a shaped toe and fringe (88,200 yen) and a ballerina shoe with an ankle strap resembling a pointe shoe (99,750 yen). The "D-Bag" has also evolved into a cube-shaped "D-Cube" (from 153,300 yen). A wide range of sizes are available. The pop-up shop will be open until the 24th. During the period, customers who spend over 105,000 yen will receive a free card case. In addition to The Stage, special displays will also be set up in the main entrance window and elsewhere. The Facchinetti collection will be available at Isetan Shinjuku, the flagship Tod's Omotesando store, Ginza Mitsukoshi, Matsuzakaya Nagoya, and Hankyu Umeda Main Store.
