This time, we'll be looking at the uniforms worn by the Nipponista members at the pop-up shop.
This styling, which mixes yukata with items from young Japanese brands, was created by stylist Go Momose, who has also worked with artists such as SMAP, SEKAI NO OWARI, and Ieiri Leo. The polka-dot yukata was by WACKOMARIA, the matching innerwear was a Phenomenon leather jacket, the shirts and jackets were by ANREALAGE, and the tie was by GIRAFFE. Momose personally visited each brand to select various patterns for Nipponista!
The Nipponista members, dressed in these outfits and calling out to customers in front of the store, apparently attracted many customers and led them inside. Conversely, Nipponista members were also photographed by the media. Indeed, wearing geta sandals and yukata, they sure stood out on the streets of New York.
The Nipponista members finished their New York pop-up shop on the 13th, and some members are now on their way back home. FASHION HEADLINE will continue to bring you stories.
