American culture magazine "Human Being Journal" arrives in Japan

Aug 7, 2014

Neko Publishing will launch a new magazine, "Human Being Journal Japan," in October.
The Japanese version of the biannual American culture magazine "Human Being Journal" focuses on all aspects of culture, including design, fashion, and food, and expresses them through one-of-a-kind photography, illustrations, and pop design. The magazine's pages emphasize cutting-edge fashion, new food experiences, and light-hearted humor.
Four issues have been released so far, focusing on Japan, Iceland, Nicaragua, and South Africa. They have featured items such as pottery, beekeeping, oysters, agriculture, oven-baked bread, organic seeds, and bike rags from a unique perspective.
The latest issue, due for release in October, is targeted at creators, thinkers, and artisans. It offers a glimpse into the ideas behind the chaotic world through the lens of "Babel" (bustling confusion). The magazine features more criticism than usual from rebellious people.
