On July 31, Hankyu Communications announced that it would transfer its publishing business, including FIGARO, pen, and Newsweek, to a new company, CCC Media House, to be established on October 1. It also announced that all of the company's shares would be transferred to Culture Convenience Club. Culture Convenience Club operates 1,448 stores nationwide, including TSUTAYA and Tsutaya Bookstores, and offers a variety of services, including online shopping and online distribution. The aim of this business transfer and share transfer is to leverage its diverse customer contact points to further grow the publishing business. Additionally, the Takarazuka Revue-related business will be transferred to subsidiary Takarazuka Creative Arts, and the free paper business will be transferred to another subsidiary, Hankyu Ad Agency. The transfer is also scheduled for October 1.
