Maison Martin Margiela will open a new store, "Maison Martin Margiela Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store," on the third floor of the main building of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store on August 27th.
The store will offer a selection of women's ready-to-wear collections, leather goods, shoes, accessories, fragrances, interior design, and eyewear. The lines available are:
"Line ' ' - Women's Show Collection (Editor's note: The label is plain white)," "Line '1' - Women's Collection," "Line '4' - Women's Wardrobe," "Line '3' - Fragrance Collection," "Line '8' - Eyewear Collection," "Line '11' - Women's Accessories Collection," "Line '13' - Objects and Publications," and "Line '22' - Women's Shoe Collection."
The store area is 46 square meters. The interior features a monochrome trompe l'oeil design inspired by the traditional French Haussmannian style, and incorporates elements symbolic of the Maison, such as white cotton fabric, trompe l'oeil, white paint, a fusion of styles and eras, and hints of humor, expressing the Maison's worldview in a chic and fantastical space.
