Maison Martin Margiela presented its Spring/Summer 2015 men's collection. The venue was an open space within the University of Paris building, which is currently under construction. This collection took the house's signature surreal style a step further. Deconstructing garments, the designers paired asymmetrical pants in different fabrics and lengths with beautifully lined jackets and riders. Slim-fitting suits were layered with blousons in different fabrics, coordinated with nude shirts underneath. The collection showcased a unique playful approach that didn't settle for the conventional. Pants and trench coats crafted from parachute fabric created a soft silhouette unattainable with woven fabrics, creating a mysterious impression. A nude top made of tulle embroidered with beads also made an unexpected appearance as part of the Artisanal collection. The twists and turns characteristic of Margiela, which have captivated its devoted fans, were still present.
