On July 29th, AGNONA, a member of the Zegna Group, held a presentation of its AW14 collection by Stefano Pilati at the Italian Embassy's official residence. Founded in 1953, the Italian luxury brand is known for its collections that utilize animal fibers such as cashmere and wool. Alessandra Carra, who became the new CEO in May of this year, was also in Japan, adding a touch of elegance to the chic Italian atmosphere, and the event was attended by many fashion industry figures. The new ready-to-wear and handbag collections were also showcased, along with information on the brand's history and archives of material samples, highlighting the brand's timeless appeal. The Fall/Winter collection, inspired by archival materials such as double-faced cashmere, wool, and alpaca, inspired Stefano Pilati on multiple levels. Based on a retro palette, the collection features sensual colors, including vibrant turquoise, pink, tangerine, and other shades with muted nuances, creating a wide range of looks from daywear to cocktails. The collection features beautifully draped blouses, simple one-piece dresses, coats, blazers, wide-leg pants, and evening dresses, all accented with volume through a variety of tailored silhouettes. The "wave" theme is expressed through the technical incorporation of darts and side seams, creating a powerful and handsome image of a woman who embraces a luxurious and comfortable lifestyle, evoking an elegant presence and distinctive style. The iconic "CARA" bag, designed for the brand for the first time by Stefano Pilati, is realized using the finest Italian craftsmanship. The bags are made from his own high-quality natural full-skin grain leather, "Annona Granato," and are functional yet timeless and elegant, echoing the aesthetic of his ready-to-wear collections. The advertising visuals, shot by Inez & Vinoodh and featuring model and actress Dree Hemingway, have also garnered attention.
