Valentino Uomo's new stores will open on August 27th on the third floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building and on the second floor of Hankyu Men's Osaka and Tokyo. Based on a store concept that explores continuity and unity throughout the store, the space will avoid excessive decoration while adding a sense of solemnity. The display system uses the contrasting materials of wood and brass. The intricate shelving and racks are handcrafted by artisans, allowing for flexible product display. The light material used in the display system is also applied to terrazzo stone, creating a contrasting mix of contemporary and classic elements, just like the materials used for the wall finishes. Terrazzo stone wall panels and Palladiana marble flooring evoke the image of a swimming pool, and simple benches and island-style counters are installed. The interior of Hankyu Men's Osaka and Tokyo was designed by architect David Chipperfield, who has previously worked on Valentino store designs. To commemorate the opening, Isetan Shinjuku will be releasing a limited edition of the popular Rockrunner sneaker, which has been popular since its debut in SS13. It features an orange and black camouflage pattern.
