Aug 23, 2014

"Sweets Sweets Sweets," a shop selling party goods and baking tools, has opened on the 5th floor East Park of the Isetan Shinjuku store. It will be open until August 25th.
The shop carries items such as tricorn hats (1,300 yen), paper bags (220 yen), message cards, paper cups, and plates from the American party goods brand Meri Meri, as well as icing and decoration items from the cake decorating school Wilton.
The store also displays cakes made by instructors from the cake decorating school Wilton Class Shinjuku, including a cake with an Isetan shopper motif, a wedding cake that took about six months to make, and an art piece featuring cute animals.
Also, an "icing cookie" making workshop is held daily on the same floor, led by instructors from Wilton Class Shinjuku. Using icing cream and sprinkles, participants decorate dress-shaped cookies with original designs, making it easy even for children and those new to icing. The participation fee is 600 yen, and the workshop times are 11am, 12pm, 2pm, and 3pm.

The sugar powder, icing colors, cookie cutters, and other items used in the workshop can also be purchased on the spot.
