On the evening of December 11th, Dior held its first-ever Fall Collection runway show in Tokyo. The show took place at the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Hall. A large audience from Japan and abroad was invited, and the post-show party was filled with excitement.
Artistic Director Raf Simons created a collection inspired by Tokyo, a city of chaotic styles. Models wandered the snow-covered stage, reminiscent of a scene from Silent Hill.

Sequins were used extensively throughout, and layered styles combining various materials were featured. Futuristic, sparkling knitwear was paired with long wool dresses and patent leather long coats. Paired with platform shoes and high heels, the show created a very elongated silhouette. "Tokyo is always my inspiration," says Raf Simons.
The model's eyes were lined above and below the pupils, creating an unrealistic eye makeup reminiscent of a female anime character. The waistline, reminiscent of the house's iconic "Bar" jacket, was also emphasized, creating an anime-like effect. The iconic Lady Dior bag was scaled up and down, embodying "kawaii" (cute). The essence of "Tokyo" was evident everywhere.
After the show, the venue was still open for the after-party. A wild night was spent in attendance, featuring Raf Simons, LVMH Group Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault, domestic and international fashion designers and press, Audrey Tautou, Koyuki, Ryuhei Matsuda, Kiko Mizuhara, Mika Nakashima, the Mori Izumi and Hoshi sisters, and Sumire.
