On February 4th, Reebok will release the first in their new Pump Supreme running shoe line, featuring "The Pump Technology," combining design and functionality.
Since first incorporating "The Pump Technology," which adjusts fit using air, into basketball shoes in 1989, Reebok has produced numerous shoes, including the Instapump Fury, which was released in 1994. The newly released Pump Supreme features "The Pump Technology" from the top of the tongue to the midfoot, achieving a stylish silhouette and design while also providing a custom fit.
In addition, the midsole uses lightweight, highly cushioned carbonated foam, and the outsole uses Reebok's proprietary "Metasplit" construction, with carbon material in the midfoot for increased rigidity, creating a shoe that provides stability with every step. The upper features a mesh material called "Fusion Fit Sleeve," creating a slip-on style shoe that more closely conforms to the foot's silhouette. The shoes will be available at select fashion boutiques on February 4th, followed by two colorways exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku on the same day. Two colors will be available exclusively at BEAMS in March, two at BEAUTY&YOUTH UNITED ARROWS in April, and two more at select fashion boutiques in May, for a total of 10 colors throughout the spring/summer season. The Pump Plus, a running shoe inspired by the Pump Supreme design, will be released on February 3rd. It features a simplified design while retaining the Pump Technology and Fusion Fit Sleeve. The Reebok Light, a simpler running shoe without the Pump Technology, will also be released on March 3rd.
