MAISON KITSUNE has unveiled looks from its Fall/Winter 2017 women's pre-collection. Photographed by Nicole Maria Winkler, the visuals feature artwork by Jon Koko. This season, the collection draws inspiration from American pop culture and the authentic creativity of Paris-based, New York-born artist William Klein, portraying a woman who enjoys mixing and matching outfits on a whim every day. The playful essence, reflecting American superheroes, is interspersed with classic nuances, including a bold red wool suit with a white star motif, and a reversible jacquard sweater dress inspired by America, featuring iconic New York skyline. A top featuring delicate ruffles is designed with a psychedelic comic book speech bubble motif and features stripes inspired by the American flag. A top featuring a delicate raschel pattern is also designed with stripes. A navy blue beret features a lightning bolt embroidery in the same color as the American flag, and the brand's iconic fox motif is in the same color as the American flag. Details of the pieces subtly incorporate classic and military ensembles. A military officer-inspired jumpsuit is reinterpreted with chevron cotton fabric and gold buttons. The brand's iconic fox motif is also incorporated into an edgy camouflage print. Based on the slogans "Courage" and "Formidable," the collection is playful with fabrics and volumes, while pursuing comfort and functionality.
