"Our Favorite Shop's Doll Festival" will be held from February 17th to March 5th at OUR FAVORITE SHOP in Shirokane, Tokyo.
This exhibition, coinciding with Hinamatsuri (Girl's Day), features Kyoto-based artist Tsuyoshi Hisakado as the invited artist. Hisakado focuses on phenomena unique to each location, using sound, light, and three-dimensional objects to create theatrical spatial installations that reconnect individuals with their memories and stories. In recent years, he has worked on the stage design and sound for the theater company Chelfitsch and exhibited his large-scale installation work "PAUSE" at the Aichi Triennale 2016.
In this exhibition, Hisakado will create a space that explores themes of distance and visibility, featuring Hina dolls from the family home of KIGI art director Yoshie Watanabe in Yamaguchi Prefecture. A talk event with Hisakado will also be held on February 19th at 3:00 PM.
