Junichi Abe's kolor held his Fall/Winter 2017-18 collection show in the hall of the University of Paris. The seemingly unbalanced outfits created an exquisite balance, revealing the meticulous planning behind them. This was evident in the details of each item, as well as the combinations of items within a single look, creating a surprising and eye-opening experience. Blousons and jackets featured mismatched pockets made from completely different materials, seemingly haphazardly appliquéd on whatever was in front of them, but they were designed to echo details such as collars and ribbing. Each piece, featuring playful motifs such as a blouson combining multiple checks or a denim-hemmed striped blouson, was beautiful, while knit sweatshirts and gaudy printed scarves exuded an outlaw vibe.
The collection showcases the high level of unique cutting techniques in many items, such as a knit blouson with connected curved cuts, a mohair coat, and a trench coat with large appliquéd pockets, and the style of the colors can be felt throughout.
