Gucci displays hand-painted outdoor advertising on a large wall in New York

Feb 10, 2017

Gucci has acquired the rights to use a large wall in New York City for 17 years and unveiled a mural.
In partnership with Colossal Media, a leader in hand-painted outdoor advertising, the 2,500-square-foot mural is located on Lafayette Street between Prince and Spring Streets in the heart of SoHo.
The hand-painted artwork for the outdoor advertising was created by San Francisco-based illustrator Jade Fish. Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele discovered her work on Instagram and featured some of her work in the Spring/Summer 2017 women's collection.
The artwork took six days to complete and was unveiled on February 6th in time for New York Fashion Week, remaining on display until the end of March. A Snapchat geofilter created by Jade Fish specifically for the wall's unveiling will also be available for viewing near the artwork.

In addition, works by various creators are scheduled to be displayed on this large wall throughout the year.
