Delvaux, the luxury leather goods brand that is a purveyor to the Belgian Royal Family, will release a limited edition of its new bag, "The Hero" (143,000 yen), at select Delvaux boutiques worldwide from February 15th. The Hero incorporates the signature form of the iconic "Brillant" bag, which evokes dynamic prep school style and was launched in 1958. The motif features "1829," a homage to the year Delvaux was founded, and the bag is crafted from a vinyl made of multiple layers of pale green PVC. Utilizing complex techniques and the latest industry tools, the intricate new design is robust yet playful. In keeping with the sporty-chic mood of the Fall/Winter 2016-17 collection, the Hero can also be worn as a shoulder bag thanks to its two-tone nylon canvas strap. The bag also has a delicate vanilla scent.
