Feb 18, 2017

The "Your Name: Makoto Shinkai's 'Your Name' Exhibition," offering a full experience of the world of the smash hit film "Your Name," which was released last summer and grossed over 20 billion yen at the box office, will be held from March 8th to 20th at the Event Square on the 8th floor of Matsuya Ginza.
"Your Name" is a film that vividly depicts the characters and their world, crystallizing the story of a man and a woman who miss each other in a beautiful and magnificent world into a highly polished visual. The exhibition will display approximately 300 valuable production materials, including video storyboards and proposals by animation director Makoto Shinkai, character design sheets by the animation director, and landscape shots recreating scenes from the film.
In addition, a reproduction of the blackboard that appears in the classroom scene from the film will be shown for the first time. There will also be a corner where you can listen to the theme song by RADWIMPS, who provided the insert song, along with the lyrics, making this an exhibition that unravels the appeal of "Your Name."
