Frederic Cassel introduces limited-edition "cafe" sweets in March, including fragrant coffee chocolate cake

Feb 22, 2017

Frederic Cassel is releasing a new cafe-inspired sweets collection. Focusing on ingredients and exploring the depth of French pastries, the collection changes monthly. From March 1st to 31st, four items will be available, each inspired by traditional French pastries but with a free-spirited approach. These include the "Mille-feuille Finger Cafe" (700 yen), which layers caramelized feuilletage with coffee ganache and bronze chocolate; the "Saint-Honoré Viennois" (700 yen), a cream-filled choux pastry topped with cafe cream and Chantilly cream, inspired by Viennese coffee; the "Speculoos Macaron" (240 yen), a perfect complement to the spiced aroma of coffee. The "Petit Merveilles Cafe" (3 pieces for 600 yen) features a crispy meringue topped with cafe cream, mascarpone cream, and confit, all wrapped in milk chocolate.
