LeSportsac, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2014, reopened its Omotesando flagship store (6-29-1 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on November 23rd as the brand's first store worldwide under a new concept. The store's concept is "Travel through the world of LeSportsac." The two-story store is decorated in black and multi-stripe colors, with grass-green walls and a blue ceiling evocative of the sky and clouds. The fixtures, reminiscent of a girl's room, are reminiscent of a closet and picture frames. To commemorate the reopening, the store will also be selling items from the colorful striped "LeStripe" collection, as well as the limited-edition "Ruby Tote," exclusive to this store. A one-night-only party was held prior to the opening at Eco Farm Cafe 632 in Omotesando, Tokyo. Creative director D'Arcy Jensen came to Japan from New York. The event featured performances by Lily, a tap dancer active at international parties, and Vita Coco, a dance unit made up of LeSportsac sales staff, who performed in mobs and on stage. Secret guest Anri also performed live, livening up the venue.
