To celebrate the release of the new edition of "JoJonium: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure," a series based on Hirohiko Araki's manga "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure," JR Shibuya Station's advertisements are being replaced with posters for the book until tomorrow, December 8th.
JoJonium will begin publication on December 4th. Araki has newly drawn illustrations for the cover and outer box, and the back of each volume includes character commentary by Araki. The color pages from the original serialization are also reproduced. Volumes 1 and 2 are currently on sale.
The Shibuya Station campaign features a total of 127 posters on display above and along the stairs of the Yamanote Line outer-bound platform, the Saikyo Line connecting passage, and near the lockers in the passage outside the Hachiko ticket gate. In addition to newly drawn color illustrations of Jonathan Joestar, Dio Brando, Will A. Zeppeli, and others, the posters feature the characters' periodic table of elements and benzene rings, as the book's title, which alludes to chemistry, suggests.
Also, some pages are filled with JoJo-style promotional slogans such as, "The happiness of not having read JoJo yet," "JoJo isn't just one part of your life. It's eight parts of your life," "On sale December 4th!", "But we're particular," "To all the longtime fans whose comics have turned Sunshine Yellow," and "17 volumes in total. Volume 2 released first. Needless to say, both are prime numbers."
