In the summer of 2021, Rado ambassador and WTA world number one tennis player Ashleigh Barty teamed up with popular Australian artist Ashvin Harrison to create a one-off artwork to be auctioned for charity.

A painter and skilled draftsman, Ashvin's work has frequently been featured in exhibitions and publications across Australia. His work is known for its striking balance of monochrome structures and colorful details, creating intriguing compositions that explore the complexities of human emotions and relationships. For this collaboration, Ashleigh, under his guidance, added color and energy by hitting paint-soaked tennis balls into the canvas to complement Ashvin's monochrome structures.

This charity art project was initiated at the suggestion of Swiss watch brand Rado. This energetic artwork, along with the tennis ball and racket used in its creation and the limited edition Rado HyperChrome Ash Barty watch, will be auctioned on SINGULART, Rado's partner international online art gallery. All proceeds will be donated to Make-A-Wish® Australia, which helps grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. The organization believes that wishes are an essential part of a child's treatment and is committed to making the wishes of every child battling a critical illness come true.

Rado CEO Adrian Bossard is thrilled with the finished piece and looks forward to the auction. "Art and design are in the DNA of the Rado brand. Combining the talents of Rado ambassadors Ash and Ashvin's creativity with Rado's design spirit is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We are proud to be involved in this project and look forward to a fantastic outcome for Make-A-Wish," he said.
