
Actress Emi Takei was born on December 25, 1993, in Aichi Prefecture.
In 2006, she won both the Model and Multimedia categories at the 11th National Beauty Contest. That November, she made her debut as a model for the fashion magazine Seventeen. She made her acting debut in the 2008 film "Sakura no Sono" and made her breakthrough in the 2011 drama series "Taisei wa koto wa subete kimi ga oshiete kuretaeta." In 2012, she continued to star in films and TV dramas, including "Ai to Makoto" and "Kyou, Koi Hajimemasu."
In September 2010, she became the youngest recipient of the 39th Best Dresser Award. She also made headlines in 2011 for signing a patronage contract with Gucci Japan. This was the first such contract since Gucci's arrival in Japan.
In 2013, she was ranked first in the number of companies that used her in commercials, with 17 companies. She currently appears in Shiseido's "MAQuillAGE" and Seiko Watch's "LUKIA," among others.
