kolor, the brand that presented its 14SS collection at the 84th Pitti Immagine Uomo (Pitti), the first Japanese designer in four years to be selected as the main guest designer, has opened a pop-up shop on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building. It will be on display until January 7, 2014.
While kolor has previously developed collections without a seasonal theme, for the first time, the brand has adopted a theme for its 14SS men's collection at Pitti. Designer Junichi Abe's key word for his creations is "happiness." Incorporating Hawaiian prints, the brand creates a "happy atmosphere" with a light, sporty essence, creating a unique nuance.
Many of the brand's pieces feature a combination of different materials as design accents, such as printed fabrics on the collars and hems of classic silhouettes and organza peeking out from the bottom of shorts.
The pop-up shop will feature four Isetan-exclusive items. Following the black and white color theme for this week, which marks the beginning of spring at the museum, the collection features a monochrome aloha motif. The collection includes a jacket (69,300 yen), shirt (30,450 yen), shorts (28,350 yen), and T-shirt (31,500 yen).
During the pop-up period, customers who spend over 73,500 yen will receive a limited-edition hair styling kit from hair salon "TWIGGY." The set includes organic hair products (five items: hair oil, gel, mist, shampoo, and treatment sachets) in an original pouch specially prepared for the pop-up. The pouch is a travel-sized, vertical pouch with a handle, made from the same navy napped tweed melton used in the color collection. The logo is embroidered in gold.
From December 26th, the museum is hosting an event where you can experience the atmosphere of the 84th Pitti Immagine Uomo venue, where Khara held its runway show. This will be an opportunity to see up close the power of Japanese brands that are recognized worldwide.
