Active Mall is one of Japan's largest "experience-based sports malls," offering everything from sports equipment to home appliances. By adding an interactive element to all kinds of sports goods, including those for running, futsal, tennis, and other sports, Active Mall offers comprehensive support for a wide range of customers, from children to adults, to enjoy a comfortable and active lifestyle.
The centerpiece of Active Mall is Sports Authority, a large American sports goods chain. The mall spans the first to third floors, covering approximately 15,000 square meters, making it the largest such mall in Japan. In addition to an overwhelming selection of products for everyone from beginners to professional athletes, it also offers a variety of hands-on facilities and services. The first floor is dedicated to trekking and camping for outdoor sports enthusiasts. PEKI PEKI, a 430-square-meter bouldering studio, offers three courses: for children, beginners, and advanced levels. There is also a 3-on-3 court and a camping demonstration space. Additionally, the Sports Authority Court, an event space in the atrium, will be equipped with nine 60-inch monitors, where talk shows and other events featuring sports celebrities will be held.
The second floor is dedicated to team sports and sports fashion, and includes an "Experience Space" where you can try out baseballs and soccer balls, as well as a "Repair Marking Factory" that handles all kinds of sports repairs, including baseball gloves. Former professional baseball players will be on hand in the baseball corner to offer advice on playing and training. One of Japan's largest Nike basketball shops has also opened.
The third floor is dedicated to personal sports, health, and beauty. For golf, there will be a "Shaft Museum" and a "Golf Simulator" with one of Japan's largest selections of test shafts and fitting options. The mall offers a wide range of areas to meet a variety of needs, including "FOOTLAB," which provides sizing, running analysis, and foot pressure measurements to help customers choose the perfect shoes; "Charge Up Cafe," which offers personalized programs; "Sports Academy" for children; "Sports Clinic," "Conditioning Center," and "Relaxation Center," which offer rehabilitation and physical maintenance. The third-floor rooftop space also features three indoor tennis courts and two futsal courts with night-time lighting. Other sports-related shops are also located here. The first floor is home to Japan's largest cycling zone, "CYCLE TERRACE," offering sports bikes, merchandise, and apparel; and "AEON BIKE," a bicycle specialty store created by AEON. Because the mall handles many expensive bicycles, a test ride system has been introduced that allows customers to test ride before purchasing. MURASAKI BOARDERS FACT, a new store type from Murasaki Sports that specializes in action sports such as snowboarding, surfing, and skateboarding, has a skate ramp and cafe inside the store. The first and second floors are occupied by Nojima, a large digital and home appliance store. This store, too, aims to encourage customers to try out products and experience their benefits for themselves, and is being presented as an "experience-based shop" where customers can not only buy products but also experience how to use them and their convenience.
